Global Haly Investment Limited is to develop a landmark US$ 250 million plus Shopping Mall and Office Complex in Defence, a prime area of Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city.

Commercial complex project for DHA Karachi

Abu Dhabi: Injaz Mena Investment Company has joined with UK-based Global Haly Investment Limited to develop a landmark $250-plus million shopping mall and office complex in Defence, a prime area of Karachi, Pakistan's largest city.

The complex will be situated next to the Creek Golf Club along the Arabian Sea coastline, said a senior official.

The project was awarded by the Defence Housing Authority, Karachi, to Global Haly Investment, which was the highest bidder among seven international consortia that participated in the bidding.

The joint venture project was officially announced this week under the key sponsorship of Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Injaz Mena CEO Mr Ahmed Al Dhahry said that "with a projected IRR well in excess of 35 per cent, the project was in high demand with investors".

He added that commitments from investors exceeding the offered subscription amount for this unique opportunity were received within a week as a result.

The planned complex will provide high quality shopping as well as premium office space on 5.3 acres of land. It will have a total built-up area of about 1.7 million sq ft of which some 600,000 sq ft will be saleable space, said an official spokesman. The complex will have three basement levels for parking, ground floor, mezzanine and five upper floors, offering approximately 350,000 sq ft of dedicated retail space and the balance of the area will be for offices.

Creekside sales fast gaining momentum

KARACHI (May 27 2008): Creekside - Karachi's new waterfront lifestyle and business icon - is a joint venture project by Abu Dhabi-based Injaz Mena Investment Company PSC and UK-based Global Haly Investment Limited. The joint venture project was officially announced under the key sponsorship and patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Nayhan, says a press release.

An exclusive shopping mall and office complex, Creekside is inspired by some of the world's most prestigious developments, built to the highest international standards. The project worth $750-plus million is being developed in Phase VIII, Defence. Designed by the leading Australian retail architects, Saunders Global Creekside features sublime architectural style, premium retail and office space, prime waterfront location, first class security and ample covered parking. The planned project will provide a shopping mall and office space, spread on an area of 5.3 acres in a Prime Location of Defence Phase VIII.

Global Haly Development (Pvt) Ltd Chairman and CEO Mubarak bin Fahad expressed his views: "Creekside is a uniquely designed mixed use facility which we firmly believe will bring a new level of luxury and enhancement to the standards of shopping expected today.

The development boasts a design that gracefully maximises sea views whilst maintaining optimal functionality and locality." Creekside site office located in Defence, Phase VIII is accepting bookings, and is facing an unprecedented demand in sales for its retail, office and restaurant spaces.-PR

I don't take anything serious in here. It's just the usual babble about how extraordinary projects are underway. Beautiful animations and 3D renders. If one really believed the papers and 3D animation which are all over the internet, tv and newspapers one would be crazy as hell. History is full of evidence that mostly such projects just exist in imagination and serve the purpose of luring overseas Pakistanis to pay money upfront. It's a billion rupee hustling industry focused primarily on creating an imaginary world for overseas Pakistanis in order to cheat them of money.

Unless there is a regular webcam at the construction site, I wouldn't take anyone here seriously. Companies taking on such mega projects surely do have the resources of setting up a few webcams connected to a little server which surely could be connected to the internet via the available Wimaxx services now available in Pakistan. I as an ordinary citizen with a ordinary job certainly can afford it and set such a setup within 15 minutes. Yes, you read it right, doesn't take anymore than that. Makes you wonder why companies (with supposedly backing of millions of dollars) operating in a country where cheating and lying is more common than clean water, don't show some goodwill gesture and put up such common services ;)

Once the construction work gets started, we will regularly update this one too. We already are giving a monthly coverage to over 200 projects in 3 majors cities. This is not the first project of its own kind that is attracting such a big amount of investment in the country. We can only rely on news and animation untill the time the projects does gets a ground breaking. Once that is done, our correspodants are all in action with their camera and eyes.

I don't really know what to do here. Am I supposed to be laughing or crying after reading your interesting segment. I really appreciate your verbal capacity and your intellectual defence of the property business in pakistan. I am not sure which world you live in. In a country where the top media has a a long and bogus history of using it's front page to endorse fake property devlopment of billions and billions of rupees, do actually think that your believing or wanting to believe otherwise will actually change the facts on the ground. I think we need more engineering in the agricultural and hydro sector instead of using energy and resources to satisfy morally corrupted, ignorant and extremely pervertedly self-indulged well off minority within Pakistan. Which I might add consists a lot of my own friends and family members in Pakistan. And their is nothing religious about BBC and CNN covering a little segment or two regarding the perverted visions of a walled diaspora. I am not questioning your intelligence, but please do yourself a favour, by not pointing at mine.
