In order to meet the demand for comfortable urban buses, Hinopak has recently introduced a modern and environment friendly urban bus model on its newly launched AK1J chassis with J08C – Euro engine. The design of urban bus is based on Hinopak’s extensive research, main features of new bus are most modern design front and rear face, large size window frames, double sliding glasses, separate and wider doors for ladies and gents increased room height, low boarding heights and spacious seating layout for passenger comfort.

Hino CNG Bus

In order to address the growing concerns about pollution, Hinopak, being the largest manufacturer of Commercial Vehicles in Pakistan has added another feather in their cap by introducing the first ever dedicated CNG bus manufactured in Pakistan.

The Hino AK1J-CNG bus model utilizes a dedicated J08C-CNG engine that has been designed by Hino Motors Ltd., Japan in collaboration with an American company. The exhaust emission level of this CNG engine is similar to EURO2 emission level.

The improvement of emission level of CNG engine as compared to diesel engine is

NOx Reduced by 67%

CO Reduced by 89%

HC Reduced by 15% and

PMs (Black Smoke) by 100%

Once again I think we should work with European countries to make buses as the Chinese buses in my opinion lack in quality specifically hinopak.

Salam,

I think, the quality of HinoPak, though may not be the best, is definitely better than the buses here in United States. The GreyHound bus and its bus service is no where near the bus service I experienced in my last trip to Pakistan. In general, American transport system is extremely outdated, whether its GreyHound, Airliners or Amtrack. We are doing better in transportation... I feel.

Pakistan/Lahore 1
The Korean Daewoo Express bus service on Tuesday 25 November carried us comfortably on the new super express highway built by Prime Minister Navaz Sharif in the 1990s (maybe one of his few lasting legacies). It is South Asia’s best motorway and the bus traversed without much shaking the 400 km long distance in just 4,5 hours, with a stop-over in a nice clean motel halfway, at Kallarkahar.

Buses
This is a relatively cheap and easy way to get around the city if you don't have enough to spend on taxis and chauffeur driven cars. In the cities the buses are run by the government as well as many private companies. The Daewoo Bus Company runs many of the inner city buses with latest state of the art buses that make very little pollution.From 2000, the government has banned old, excessively polluting, poorly run buses from cities, to deal with the pollution levels that have become a problem in many cities in Pakistan.
The buses are given numbers according to which routes they are travelling or if in doubt there is usually a ticket person who you can ask for directions and fares. The buses do start to run late during the early morning and evening when traffic in the cities becomes very chaotic as many communters try to get to or from work.

Coaches

The Daewoo City Bus has developed a new air-conditioned bus that is very modern and comes with air conditioning for the high temperatures experienced in the summers. These buses are a great way to get around the city if one wants to view the city. The buses are constantly running during the day so it is easy to get on another one throughout the day.

For long distance journeys from city to city (e.g. Lahore to Islamabad), the Sammi Daewoo Express coaches have proven to be a great success in intercity travel as well as in the cities. The Sammi Daewoo express bus service provides services on more than 18 routes and operates more than 325 departures per day in Pakistan. The service are available in most cities including Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Sialkot, Murree and many others including many future destinations.

Daowoo is definetely better than Hinopak but they need to work on the interior because it definitely needs some improvement.
