Unreinforced Masonary wall - concrete blocks about 4 inch thick being used on external walls


Gypsum blocks - concrete block masonary is being done on the lower floor. the developer purchased gypsum blocks that will be used to make the non load bearing walls on the upper floors. The advantage of using gypsum blocks is that it is lighter in weight so it reduces the dead load impact on the structure plus it is a better insulator of heat than concrete.
