Polythene sheets being used as a Damp proof membrane (DPM) to precvent water and moisture movement from the surroudning soit into the site.

The piles which act as a retaing wall are about 80 feet or more deep and we see half of them right now. They length has to be more than the exposed lenght so that in any case if there are forces acting perpendicular or angular to it, the pile does topple over the construction site juss like what we study in basic physics.

Excavation completed. Now steel mesh is being laid for a raft foundation. The raft thickness usually varies from 3feet to 6feet.

Overall after looking at the construction pix, i have come to say that this project is going at a cruising pace compared to all the project going on in lahore. I havent visited the site though but the pix definately show that this project will complete well in time!!!
