Salam,

Techno! It says:

Shopping Floors: 6
Appartment Floors: 14
Office Floors: 14
Parking Floors: 4
Total Floors Above Ground: 18

I am a little bit confused. Does this mean that we would have 14+6=20 floors + parking..? If so, then it says 18 floor above ground. Would that mean, 2 "Shopping Floors" would be under-ground?? That would be a new concept ... if true!

Can you please confirm from your archives??

Peace.

Well Actually the confusion was between the rendering and the information given on the brosshure.

The number of floors above ground is 19. If you see both the renderings then u wil be able to understand.
Shopping Floors Above Ground: 4
Appartment Floors/Office Floors: 14
Entertainment Floor (green one): 1

Shopping Floors Below Ground (lower ground floor): 1
Parking Floors: 4
Total Floors Below Ground: 5

With the coming of the concept of 'exposed basement' or increasing the level of the basement comes the idea of "lower basement", but 'lower basement' is not considered to be a part of floors above ground.

Improved Formwork designed especially to give the curves in the atrium
Posted Image

The circular surface in the atrium
Posted Image

The steel rods are joined together in the form of a mesh.
Posted Image

All the utility pipes are then fixed within the mesh.
Posted Image

Concrete is then poured onto the mesh
Posted Image

Workers busy spreading the concrete over the mesh
Posted Image

The depth of the concrete poured is check with this metalic strip which has a cross at the bottom. the horizontal part of the cross will tell whether the concrete poured is less than or more than the amount required to be poured in the slab. the concrete is mixed with the help of a small vibrator, either a mechanical one or an electrical one. Vibrating the mixture helps to prevent honeycombing in the concrete.Posted Image

Once the concrete is poured, the surface is smoothed with the help of tools like a metallic rod to give the surface a smooth texture. The tool is called 'garmala' in the local language.

2nd Basement - the pillars are about 30-36 in diameter. The disadvantage in designing a RCC highrise building is that the pillars at the base have to be very wide and therefore they take large space. Steel structures do no face such a problem in the superstructure.

Can u define shitty? Is it the space planning of the shops your are taking or what! The construction work hasnt reached the plinth level +5 feet that is and there mall area is going to b started once the substructure gets completed. What makes the mall shitty then.

The construction was stayed because excavation work had seriously damaged an adjoining townhouse. When the homeowner sued for damages, it became apparent that the LDA has no structural safety guidelines. Then it was discovered that other buildings were taking advantage of loopholes in LDA regulations are were building in violation of bye-laws. Then the SC stayed the construction of all high rises in the city (but then gave permission to developers to raise construction up to plinth level.

Then the SC formed a commission to investigate the enforcement of LDA bye-laws. When the report was submitted, the SC ordered the destruction of those structures in violation of building bye-laws. Masood Hospital, Ahad Heights and Salaar Center have been affected.

Meanwhile, because of safety standards, work at the Boulevard Heights remains stayed.
